Danny's Farm: Healing Israel's Defenders
Israel is grappling with its worst mental health crisis ever in the wake of October 7th’s horrific events and aftermath.
Soldiers, survivors, witnesses, families of victims and many more are struggling with the concequences of the war such as uncertainty, displacement and economic turbulence.
“Right now we are re-writing Israel’s history. I meet soldiers every day who are lost and suffering,” explains Danny Stirin, founder and proprietor of Danny’s Farm, a healing compound in central Israel.
“We have to protect and strengthen the people fighting for Israel. They’re our next generation,” Stirin emphasizes.
Backed by Israel’s Defense Ministry, Danny’s Farm is an island of serenity amidst the current climate of instability.
Myriad trauma and PTSD treatments offered at the farm include: Equine and music therapy, holistic healing and individual and group treatments facilitated by Israel’s leading mental health specialists.
Programs in progress and development include:
- Gaza Envelope traumatized youth treatment
- Reserve duty ”re-entry” therapy
- Nova festival survivor guidance
- Lone soldier therapy
- Combat soldier/combat family treatment
In light of Israel’s current climate, demand is outpacing funding.
Programs are donor-dependent.
